When my wife told me she wanted to go to a chiropractor, I really did not know what to say. Normally when someone goes to a medical professional, it is because something is wrong with them. When I asked my wife if she was not feeling well, she told me she was doing really good. She is not a hypochondriac at all, so I admitted that I was puzzled as to the reason she wanted to go to a chiropractor in Camas. I had no problem with her going, but I had no clue why she wanted to go.
She then told me that she had read in one of her women’s magazines that a chiropractor can make a relatively healthy person feel even better. I admit that I thought it was a lot of silliness, because really, who goes to a doctor when they feel fine? But, I did not say anything, and I even helped her find a good one in our area by going online and researching different ones. She was happy with the one we picked out for her, but I drew the line at going to the office with her. I still did not see the need for her to seek out chiropractic care.
Well, let me be the first one to say I was wrong. She had several adjustments done over a matter of a few weeks, and even I could tell she had a new spring in her step. We had both been slowing down, but I just took that as a sign of aging. Somehow, she found the fountain of youth, and I wanted to dip my toes in it too to see if it had the same effect on me. At least my wife had the graciousness to not laugh since she was once again right. We both go to the chiropractor on a regular basis now, and we both feel like we have turned back time!
